Elstree Film School - Essential Final Cut Pro Techniques - Scheduled Courses

Hundreds of thousands of creative professionals from Hollywood film editors to independent film makers to editors with hourly deadlines cutting broadcast spots and network news choose Final Cut Pro for editing, making Apple's software suite the primary industry standard. Final Cut Studio offers much more than other editing suites enabling rapid motion editing, audio editing and mixing, colour grading and delivery. Final Cut Studio incorporates Final Cut Pro, Motion, Soundtrack Pro, Compressor, DVD Studio Pro and Colour, which as a whole is all you will ever need in the editing suite for rapid and efficient on-the-fly editing and incorporates everything you need in a single product, flexible enough to be used on site with a laptop or back at the editing suite on Mac.

Final Cut Pro is compatible with the majority of known editing suites, so if you choose to use only one or 2 elements they can all come together in the mix down within Final Cut. We offer a range of courses from 1, 2 or 5 days. This 2 day course teaches all of the basic fundamental displays, interface, features, menus and functions for you to build your editing experience around with some advanced editing features and display tutelage. Prerequisites: To gain the most from this class, it is essential that you are familiar with Windows, including creating, deleting and moving files and folders. Experience with earlier editing suites would be an advantage, but not essential. Delegates are expected to have some relevant experience, though this isnt always essential call us with any questions.

About the Tutor: Lovett is an Apple Certified Trainer and Editor on Final Cut Pro. He has been working with broadcast video since 1994 when he initially produced, designed and later edited programming for the worlds first interactive television in London. He contributed to interactive coverage such as the Atlantic Olympics, ATP Tennis and live music broadcasts in addition to interactive versions of London Tonight, BBC2 The Net and Channels 4s Wanted. Since then he has been a graphics specialist and instructor for the BBC as well as freelance promotions producer there. A self-taught technologist, Lovett has been editing for 12 years. His clients have included the BBC, Carlton Television, NBC, CNN, CNBC, TWI, Pogo Films and Hat Trick Productions and many others.
